Wharfedale Pro's
VS Series answers the need for loudspeakers that can handle moderate to high power and sound good without costing a fortune. Even though this is their least expensive series, you still enjoy the Wharfedale Pro advantage: all components and cabinetry are made by them in their own factories, which greatly increases bang for the buck, because they don't need to go to outside sources for components. The VS Series includes
tweeter protection, so you won't be blowing out the HF element. Highs are provided by a Wharfedale design that pairs
two electro-dynamic drivers on an
elliptical rapid flare wave guide. This offers a far smoother response than piezo-horned systems common in this price range. Wharfedale uses an efficient woofer component so that the overall sensitivity number for the 12" and 15" systems is a very respectable 96dB, 1W, 1M. Higher efficiency translates into more volume from the same amount of power. A durable black carpet finish handles the abuse of the road.
We carry several models. The
VS12M packs a 12" woofer and the dual horn system into a floor monitor. The
VS12 (this product) houses the same components in a trapezoidal main cabinet. The
VS15 offers the same configuration, except with a 15" woofer. The
VS153 sets new standards for low cost and high performance in a three-way 15" cabinet. Mids are handled by a 6.5" speaker, and overall frequency response is from 50Hz to 20kHz. The
VS18B is a subwoofer with an 18" component, designed for 220 watts continuous power (880 peak.) All of these speaker systems are value priced; we say, "Hats off to Wharfedale!" For more details and specifications, click on the
