Musicians and studios have had to put up with headphones left over or borrowed from the hi-fi industry, but not any longer. Sennheiser has introduced three closed-ear models that cut leakage when overdubbing and make it easier to isolate sounds when used on a gig.
The HD280 Professional is a closed-ear, circumaural (covers the ear) design, with up to 32dB of ambient noise attenuation, just what’s needed for overdubbing. Response is from 8Hz to 25kHz, and nominal impedance of 64W lets headphone amps work efficiently without blowing your ears out. Ultra-comfortable earcups rotate and fold up — nice and compact.
HD280’s carry a two-year warranty, and have been designed with user-replaceable parts (ear and headband cushions, drivers and cable!) The oxygen-free copper cable is terminated in a 3.5mm mini-jack with a screw-on 1/4” adapter included.
